S. B. White Company joined up with Burleson Construction and Massey Electric to undertake the ambitious project of renovating the entire Derthick Hall facility at Milligan College in the summer of 2001.  S. B. White installed a new state of the art HVAC system consisting of a Trane air cooled chiller, Raypak hot water boiler, and associated Trane fan coil units.  Johnson Controls installed a new DDC control system.  The project itself would not have been that difficult except it had to be completed between May and August.  That proved to be a real challenge for the 4 story masonry building.  There was over a mile of copper pipe to be installed, tested, insulated, and covered up with sheetrock and paint.  However, the project was completed on time with a fully functional HVAC system and new handicapped accessible toilets.
